Creating Dream-Come-True Weddings in Bali
A conversation with Mira on the Living in Bali Podcast — on leaving a corporate job, building a wedding planning company, and what it really takes to deliver a dream wedding in Bali.
Read Episode NotesFrom Borneo, to Bali.
Mira is originally from Borneo. Like many people who visit Bali, she fell in love with the beauty and the experience — and decided to find a job there and make it her home.
For five years she worked inside the Bali wedding industry. The pace was relentless, three weddings a week and sometimes more. She learned the craft from every angle, but the work itself left her unsatisfied.
I did not like a job that did not give me flexibility, and didn’t allow much room for creativity.
So she did the obvious thing. She quit, and started her own company — a wedding planning studio of her own. Mira Mi Bali Wedding was built around a single rule: fewer weddings, more care.
In the episode, Mira shares stories from years of weddings — the chaos, the small fixes, the dream-come-true moments — and the tips she has picked up along the way for couples planning their own day in Bali.
